I think every mission from the single player campaign should be playable co-op.
Somehow I doubt that RS:S will return to the old way of some of these things, but I really hope they do them.Ĭo-op play will be a HUGE part of the decision to purchase for me. Will there be a planning phase in single player? (Please say yes.that's one of the best parts of this series.) If so, can we also have the planning phase in co-op? The older games would throw away all of the story and maps and intel that you would need to finish a level if you booted it up in co-op instead of single player, as if it was any other multiplayer map this means you'd have to learn the level on the fly instead of playing it tactically. How many players will co-op support? I miss 8-player co-op, and even if consoles can't support it, I would still like to urge the developers to include it as an option in the PC release. Will the co-op be playable in the main campaign, or is it restricted to just randomly-generated terrorist hunts? If not, maybe they've already shared some of this information and I missed it. I see we have developers moderating this, and hopefully you guys are allowed to answer some of these questions, because the co-op campaign is the part I'm most excited for in this series. Four people is pretty small for what's supposed to be a SWAT team, but judging by the competitive multiplayer demo, it looks like they're at least a focusing on 5-player teams, but that doesn't necessarily translate into co-op. We were disappointed to find that Vegas only supports 4 players and Vegas 2 only supports 2 players, even in the PC version. What was great is that up until Rainbow Six 3, it supported up to 8 players in co-op.
My friends and I just got into the old Tom Clancy games for some of the best co-op we've ever played.
